TUGGERANONG Arts Centre and ACT Corrective Services are celebrating National Reconciliation Week with “Reconciliation from Inside”, an exhibition of artwork at the centre until June 1 of 40 art works by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander detainees from the Alexander Maconochie Centre. Since 2009, detainees have been encouraged to engage in art classes through education and training provided for educational and therapeutic purposes.
