FOUR Winds Music Festival at Bermagui has announced a new partnership with the National Museum of Australia’s “Cultural Connections” program.
The organisation is now seeking an Aboriginal creative producer to join its team and assist the organisation in delivering Aboriginal content in their 2019 and 2020 festival programs.
“Four Winds is committed to presenting established and emerging indigenous artists in their year round programming”, says Four Winds artistic director James Crabb.
“Employing an Aboriginal person with strong connections to and understanding of this area will ensure this is done in an appropriate way,” he says.
The announcement follows strong criticism of the Aboriginal content by “CityNews” music reviewer Judith Crispin after she attended this year’s Four Winds Music Festival over Easter.
