IN a concert of rarely-performed treasures for string quartet, “Viennese Classicism for Four Strings”, will raise money for endangered wombats.
Held in Crisp Galleries near Yass on Saturday (June 15), the group, comprised of Christoph Angerer on violin and viola d’amore, Milan Nikolic on violin, László Ábrahám on viola and Ute Groh on violoncello, was founded in 1982 in Vienna, Austria, and this is their Australian debut tour.
Proceeds from the concert will go to support of Sleepy Burrows Gundaroo, devoted to to caring for wombats injured on the road, abused by humans or plagued by diseases.
