CANBERRANS nostalgic for the good old days of the Starlight drive-in at Watson will be relieved to hear that “Mov’in Car” outdoor car cinema is coming to Canberra.
Initially set in a Sydney rooftop location, the venture will come to the Parliamentary Triangle in early July, enabling patrons to enjoy classic films from their cars.
Peugeot has chipped in with three cars for rent/hire by people who don’t have a car or a driving license, and New York-style pizzas can be delivered to cars while the movies are in progress.
A sanitary management plan has been devised to make events COVID-safe.
The Canberra season, which will run through the school holidays, will feature films including “Titanic”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “A Star is Born”, “Toy Story” and “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”.
Mov’in Car outdoor car cinema, Questacon carpark, Parkes, July 1-19, bookings here.
