Smoke may be seen from burn on Black Mountain

A temporary smoke cover may be visible across parts of Canberra as ACT Parks and Conservation Service fire managers conduct a prescribed burn on Black Mountain on Thursday.

The ACT government says some minor smoke and glowing embers may also be seen at the site, which is normal for these types of operations. The public is asked not to call emergency triple-zero unless it’s an unattended fire.

A location map of the burn site can be found here, along with other details for upcoming prescribed burns.
