Motorcyclist dies in Giralang crash

A 24-year-old man has died after his motorcycle struck a kerb in Giralang early Sunday morning, marking the ACT’s fourth road fatality of 2026.

Emergency services were called to Canopus Crescent about 5.45am, following reports a motorcycle had collided with a kerb.

The rider was declared dead at the scene.

The Major Collision Team is investigating the circumstances of the crash and will prepare a report for the coroner.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage is urged to contact police via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
