A 47-year-old man has been charged after allegedly choking and assaulting his daughter during a family violence incident.
Police allege the man pinned his daughter against a wall and choked her before slapping her in the face during the incident on Sunday afternoon.
The matter was reported to police the following day, with officers arresting the man at his home in Canberra’s north on Tuesday afternoon.
He has been charged with two counts of aggravated common assault and one count of choking, suffocating or strangling another person.
