Three men charged after separate city fights

Three men have been charged following a series of separate altercations around the city.

About 8.40pm on Saturday, police arrested a 25-year-old Evatt man following a fight between two men outside a restaurant on Lonsdale Street in Braddon.

At about 9pm, a 21-year-old Higgins man allegedly assaulted two employees at a licensed venue on Lonsdale Street after being directed to leave. He was restrained by security before police arrived and arrested him.

And around 1.40am on Sunday, a 39-year-old Civic man allegedly punched two security guardsat a licensed venue on Bunda Street. He was restrained and arrested at the scene.

All three men are expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court next month charged with offences including assaulting a frontline community service provider, common assault, affray and resisting a territory public official.
