Woman charged with making nuisance emergency calls

A 53-year-old woman has been charged after allegedly making 20 nuisance calls to Triple Zero in three hours on Tuesday.

Police allege the woman made the calls between about 5.40pm and 9.20pm despite being repeatedly told to only call in an emergency.

Officers attended her O’Connor home about 9.45pm and arrested her while she was again on the phone.

She has been charged with making vexatious calls to an emergency service number.
