TWO motorcyclists were caught doing more than 100 kph over the speed limit yesterday (Sunday, December 27) on the Majura Parkway.
At about 2.20pm, police pulled over two black motorcycles travelling in excess of 200kph south bound along the Majura Parkway, Majura.
Acting Superintendent Matt Craft said: “This reckless behavior puts lives at risk unnecessarily. I’m glad our officers were able to detect these dangerous riders and take them off our roads.”
Police say they will be targeting the top factors of serious crashes – drink/drug driving, speeding, fatigue, distraction and not wearing seatbelts.
Double demerit penalties are in place for speeding, seatbelt and mobile phone offences, with an additional demerit point for all other offences until the end of Sunday, January 3.
