Green(aka Haas) has recently returned to live in the ACT and has re-established herself as music educator who teaches at Burgmann College, Radford College, ANU and CIT. She brings with her a wealth of experience after having, for the past 10 years, freelanced in Sydney and toured nationally and internationally.

A sought-after guitarist and vocalist, as comfortable performing jazz with The Catholics or Blues with Jim Conway, Green has also performed with Indie Rock artists like Alyx Dennison and toured internationally with contemporary dance companies.

To fund the her fourth studio EP “Pheno”, and to announce a new stage name and concept, she has launched a crowdfunding campaign through Pozible with an $8,000 target. The plan is to record 5 songs, release two as singles and then release the whole EP, both digitally as well as on 10″ Vinyl and CD.

“I have followed in the footsteps of some of my musical heroes and dreamed up a new name,” Green explains, “Phonetically, Pheno (pronounced feeno) sounds good to me, and it has some great connotations, it can be short for phenomenon (that’s a lot of ph words I know), and for me it conjures up mystery with a sort of sci-fi element which I hope you’ll hear coming through the music.”

Famed Canberra percussionist Bree van Reyk will play drums and percussion on the album and will be producing it too. Dennison (formerly of Kyu) will join green in vocals and also play keys and synthesiser. Engineer is David Trumpmanis and collaborator Annie Mckinnon.
