THE ACT police homicide team have identified two people of interest linked to the death of a man in Watson last Thursday (November 3).

Police were called at about 7.45pm following the murder of Eden Waugh in Windeyer street.

At the house police located Eden who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound which they believed was targeted.

Mr Waugh’s partner, who was inside the residence at the time of the shooting, suffered minor injuries and is not a suspect.

Detective sergeant of the homicide team, Donna Parsons, says: “Detectives have identified two male suspects who left the scene on foot on the night of Mr Waugh’s murder.

“The first person of interest is described as being between 180 to 190cm tall and of large build. He was wearing a light coloured hooded jacket with zippered front and light coloured track pants.

“The second person of interest is between 170cm to 180cm tall and of skinny build. He was wearing black jeans and a black hooded jumper. Both males had their faces covered.

“Police are investigating whether there is any link to a previous home invasion that occurred at the Watson residence in September, where a firearm was also involved and Mr Waugh sustained injuries.”

Police can be contacted on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
