Man faces court after threatening to kill

A SCULLIN man, 24, will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (August 16) following an investigation into blackmail where he allegedly threatened to kill or inflict grievous bodily harm.

The investigations began yesterday afternoon, at about 5.40pm in Ngunnawal, where police executed a search warrant and seized a conducted energy weapon and a substance suspected to be cannabis.

The Criminal Investigations Team then executed a second search warrant in Scullin where they located and seized a single scope from a rifle and a substance suspected to be cannabis.

The 24-year-old man has been charged with one count of make demand with threat to kill or inflict grievous bodily harm.

Investigations are ongoing.
