Police investigate suspicious Lyons fire

INVESTIGATIONS are underway following a suspicious fire, which started in the stairwell of a unit complex in Lyons yesterday (September 26).

ACT police received a report at around 12.20pm saying a unit complex on Strathgordon Court was on fire.

ACT Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the fire and identified that it had started in a stairwell and had not breached any units, however, smoke from the fire had entered a number of nearby units.

People with information about the fire are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000 or via the Crime Stoppers website using reference P1596824.
