Government to blame for bikie wars, says Hanson

CONCERNED at the bikie-related death in Civic early this morning (July 19), shadow attorney-general Jeremy Hanson has blamed the ACT government for a fourfold increase in bikie gangs over the past decade and “as a result a bikie war has unfolded across Canberra”.

Jeremy Hanson… concerned at bikie gangs.

He says the Canberra Liberals have long been clear that the ACT needs anti-gang laws to disrupt violent bikie crime and help prevent the avoidable loss of life and the risk to families and innocent bystanders.

“Anti-gang laws have been backed by the High Court, police and other experts on the frontline of law enforcement,” he says.
