Drugs, cash and fireworks seized in police raid

A POLICE raid in Kambah on Saturday (December 11) seized 28 grams of illegal drugs believed to be cocaine, $1,700 in cash, prohibited fireworks and multiple mobile phones.

A 41-year-old-man was arrested soon afterwards and according to police has been charged with trafficking a controlled drug (other than cannabis).

He is scheduled to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today.

The search warrant was executed as part of an ongoing investigation by ACT Policing’s Task Force Nemesis into outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) drug distribution in the ACT and the surrounding region.

Anyone with information about the manufacture, distribution and sale of illicit drugs in the ACT is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
