Queanbeyan petrol station robbed with large stick

A MAN armed with a large stick allegedly robbed a service station on Uriarra Road in Queanbeyan on Tuesday night (December 14).

Police will allege just after 7.30pm the armed man walked behind the counter and threatened the employee before stealing cash and leaving the scene.

The service station attendant suffered minor injuries from being struck with the stick.

The following day, just before 11.40am, police raided an address on Carinya Street, Queanbeyan, where they arrested a 34-year-old man and seized cash and clothing.

The man will appear before Queanbeyan Local Court today, charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon.
