Missing Julius has been found, again

UPDATE: Police report today (August 27) that missing 57-year-old Julius Gheude has been found.

POLICE  are now urgently seeking information from the public to locate a 57-year-old man missing since August 17.

Missing man Julius Gheude.

Police and the family of Julius Gheude hold serious concerns for his welfare as he requires ongoing medical care.

Sgt John Giles said: “Julius left Calvary Hospital on Tuesday last week, and he has not been sighted since then.

“He has no fixed abode or family in Canberra, so he may be sleeping rough. As far as we are aware has no digital footprint or phone, so we are relying on any information the public can give to us to determine his location.

“We believe Julius currently has no access to money, which increases the level of concern about his welfare, especially given the cold and wet weather in the past week.

“Our message for Julius is to please let us know you are safe.”

The man was the subject of a search by more than 60 police officers and volunteers when he went missing for three days in June. On that occasion he had left a surgical ward at Canberra Hospital.

Police describe Julius, who may refer to himself as Roger, as being of Caucasian appearance, with balding grey hair, and of a slim build. Julius has some surgery scars on his neck. He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured beanie, dark trousers, runners and a grey top.

The public is asked not to approach Julius directly, but call police immediately.

Anyone with information is urged to call 131444.
