PHOTOACCESS’ next Huw Davies Gallery exhibition is “Un/known”, curated by Marzena Wasikowska. From works created during PhotoAccess’ “Concept to Exhibition 2022” workshop, it brings together 18 exploring, confronting and sharing personal stories. “Un/known” opens in PhotoAccess, Griffith, 6pm, September 15, then runs to October 8.
THE next Canberra Symphony Orchestra concert, “War and Peace“, will be conducted by Sam Weller and features Richard Strauss’s “Metamorphosen” for 23 solo strings, Beethoven’s “Eroica” and Australian composer Malcolm Williamson’s “Second Piano Concerto”, featuring returning guest pianist Kristian Chong. ANNE Masters’ Gallery of Small Things is turning 5 on September 27, so is celebrating its birthday by revisiting artists who first began at GOST back in September 2017 in “The Originals,” 27 Wade Street Watson, Thursdays to Sundays, 11am to 4pm September 15-October 2.
STUDENTS from Marie Cull’s piano studio will be performing works from the Baroque period to the 21st Century, including works by several Australian composers. Wesley Music Centre , 20 National Circuit, Forrest, 12.40 to 1.20pm, Wednesday September 14.
