THERE are 407 new COVID-19 cases in southern NSW today (January 26), a jump on yesterday’s 315, and 21 people are in hospital, two in ICU.
The Southern NSW Local Health District reports that in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, 257 cases were detected by PCR tests and 150 cases were detected by rapid antigen testing. There are 3168 active cases in the district.
Of the 257 cases confirmed by PCR tests:
- 30 are in the Bega Valley LGA,
- 44 in Eurobodalla,
- 55 in Goulburn Mulwaree,
- 94 in Queanbeyan Palerang,
- 20 in Snowy Monaro,
- 10 in Upper Lachlan and
- 4 in Yass Valley.
