A NSW man was caught driving at nearly five times the legal alcohol limit in Symonston on Saturday night (January 22).
Police stopped the vehicle of the 34-year-old man at about 6.10pm as he was driving on Jerrabomberra Avenue towards Hindmarsh Drive.
He returned a positive reading for alcohol and was then taken into custody for breath analysis where he blew a blood alcohol reading of 0.247 at Woden Police Station.
The man’s right to drive in the ACT was immediately suspended for 90 days, and he will receive a summons to face court for level four drink-driving on a date to be set.
