THE death of a 65-year-old woman in Bruce on Monday is being treated as a homicide.
At about 5.40pm on Monday, an ambulance and police were called to a residence in Kinloch Circuit, Bruce, following reports of a woman with stab wounds.
Police say the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 70-year-old man was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
On Tuesday afternoon, ACT Policing declared they were treating the woman’s death as a homicide.
The man remains under police guard in hospital in a serious condition, and police are yet to speak to him about the matter.
