Nichole Overall, former member for Monaro, will return to the NSW Parliament in February.
Overall, who lost her seat to Labor’s Steve Whan at the last NSW election two years ago, won a National Party selection poll on Thursday night – in what is believed to have been an emphatic vote – to fill a casual vacancy in the Upper House.
Sam Farraway has resigned his seat in the Legislative Council to stand for the seat of Calare ahead of next year’s federal election.
