A 36-year-old Scullin woman, who was subject to bail conditions, has been charged with drug driving and obstructing police after attempting to run away from them following a collision she was involved in.
At about 5.30pm on Monday, police attended a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Kingsford Smith Drive and Southern Cross Drive, Higgins.
The Scullin woman, the driver of a silver Toyota station wagon, was subjected to a roadside alcohol and drug screening test, where she returned a positive result for the presence of drugs, after which she ran off between vehicles on Kingsford Smith Drive.
She was subsequently arrested. Further drug testing showed a positive indication to methlamphetamine and cocaine.
The 36-year-old woman – who was subject to bail conditions at the time of the incident – has been charged with breach of bail, drug driving and obstructing police.
