Police report that three people have been charged with family violence offences following incidents over the weekend.
- A 23-year-old Belconnen man was charged following an alleged family violence offences on Saturday. The man is alleged to have struck his partner with a weapon causing serious injuries. He is charged with acts endangering life – offensive weapon and aggravated recklessly inflict grievous bodily harm.
- On Sunday, a 31-year-old Chisholm woman was arrested after allegedly hitting her partner in the face several times and choking him. She is charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and choking, suffocating, strangling another person.
- And a 30-year-old Kaleen man has been charged with stalking and aggravated stalking after allegedly turning up at his ex-partner’s house, without invitation, multiple times and contacting her numerous times leaving voicemails, sending text messages and videos.
