A 40-year-old Amaroo man has been charged after allegedly failing to stop for police with cocaine and methamphetamine in his system.
Police tried to stop the man’s vehicle in Fraser about 7pm on Wednesday, but allege he continued driving before being stopped a short distance later.
Officers allegedly found about $3700 cash concealed under the driver’s floor mat, while an oral fluid test returned a positive result for cocaine and methamphetamine.
Police later searched the man’s Amaroo home and seized items suspected to be drug-related and performance-enhancing substances.
The man, who was subject to a good behaviour order, has been charged with failing to stop for police, possessing property suspected to be proceeds of crime and driving with a drug in oral fluid.
