Franklin chef wins regional cook-off

A Franklin chef has won the ACT regional final of the Nestlé Golden Chef’s Hat Award for the second year running.

Aonsasiphat Chursuwannachaia, known as Rose, was named the Canberra winner after a cook-off at the Canberra Institute of Technology’s Woden campus.

The 24-year-old chef de partie at Rebel Rebel Dining will now compete against 10 other finalists from Australia and New Zealand at the national grand final in Melbourne in September.

Another local chef, Isabella Pinzon, won the regional Best Signature Dish Award.
