The ACT Greens have elected Ginninderra MLA Jo Clay as the party’s new leader, with Yerrabi MLA Andrew Braddock chosen as deputy leader following a ballot of party members.
The leadership change comes after Rebecca Vassarotti returned to the Legislative Assembly last week following a countback to replace former Greens leader Shane Rattenbury.
Ms Clay said the Greens would continue to focus on housing affordability, cost-of-living pressures and climate action.
The party also confirmed a reshuffle of shadow portfolios, with Ms Clay taking planning and treasury, Mr Braddock transport and climate change, Ms Vassarotti housing, health and justice, and Laura Nuttall education and community services.
