A 27-year-old man has been charged after allegedly kicking his former partner and dragging her by the hair at a cemetery on Sunday.
Police allege the man approached a group including his former partner about 3pm and attempted to drag her towards his vehicle before kicking her and pulling her by the hair.
When police arrived, the man allegedly fled in a black Mazda and drove dangerously through Belconnen and Yarralumla before the pursuit was terminated.
About 1am on Tuesday, police spotted a black Mazda with stolen registration plates in Casey. A resident reported a man had jumped onto his roof, before police found the man in the backyard of another property and arrested him.
The man, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant and subject to parole conditions, has been charged with aggravated common assault, aggravated dangerous driving, driving without a licence and possessing a prohibited weapon.
