Man faces 21 more historical sex charges

A 59-year-old NSW man has been charged with 21 additional offences relating to alleged historical sexual offending in Canberra during the 1980s and 1990s.

The man, who has previously been charged with multiple child sexual offences, was known to frequent several church groups and community events in Canberra.

Police say further investigations have identified additional alleged victims, resulting in 21 new charges.

The additional charges include 13 counts of acts of indecency involving children under 10, two counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 10, two counts of common assault, and one count of sexual intercourse with a child aged between 10 and 16.
