A SECOND release of 117 blocks at Macnamara, part of the Ginninderry development at West Belconnen, has been launched. 

Fifty-one of the blocks will be sold by ballot, 35 blocks by auction and 31 as house and land packages available through Ginninderry’s display village builders.  

Macnamara – the second suburb in the Ginninderry project – is located to the west of Strathnairn. Blocks sizes range from 392sqm to 1083sqm. 

Head of marketing and communications Marcus Mills-Smith said the 51 blocks offered by ballot ranged in size from 420sqm to 693sqm and were priced from $547,200. Ballot registrations were now open and closed at 5pm on June 3. 

The 35 Brindabella View auction blocks ranged in size from 450sqm to 1083sqm. Auction registrations would open on June 18 with auctions commencing online from July 2. 

He said Macnamara was the first Canberra suburb where all homes would meet a minimum seven-star energy rating.  

There would be site tours for potential buyers over three weekends from June 5. 

Ginninderry is a joint venture between the ACT government and Riverview Developments. Stretching from the north-western suburbs of Canberra (Holt and Macgregor) across the ACT/NSW border into the Yass Valley, Ginninderry will eventually house about 11,500 homes and 30,000 people.
