THE 13th year of the “SoundOut” explorative sound, film and visual art festival is coming up at ANU, Drill Hall Gallery from June 17 – 19 , this time with funding. CANBERRA-Gunning creative producer, Dianna Nixon, has now launched the official website of Music Theatre Projects Ltd, which is behind the Millicent Armstrong play project and an original new musical called “Camelia”, exploring the life and times of an Egyptian actress. NATIONAL Opera is returning with a “pocket” version of Mozart’s comic opera “Così Fan Tutte”, with Canberra Sinfonia playing. Erika Tolano gets the plum part of conniving servant Despina, while Don Christopher, best known for his roles with Deborah Cheetham’s Short Black Opera, plays Don Alfonso.
