THE ACT has recorded one COVID-19 related death today (September 2) bringing the total lives lost to 125.
A man in his 90s is the latest victim.
ACT Health report 163 new cases today, via 74 PCR tests and 89 RATs.
There are 91 people in hospital with the virus, but no one in the intensive care unit or requiring ventilation.
From January 1 to August 28, 50 per cent (63/126) of COVID-19 cases admitted to ICU had received fewer than three doses of a vaccine, despite being eligible.
Between August 1 and August 28, there were 70 hospital admissions with the virus in people aged 65+. Of these, only 54 per cent had received a fourth dose of a vaccine, despite being eligible since April.
Since January 1, 17 per cent of covid cases admitted to ICU were unvaccinated.
A total of 1538 people have been admitted to hospitals with COVID-19 throughout Canberra this year.
