A MAN has been arrested for unlicensed drug driving, the same day he signed a bail undertaking with the conditions to not drive a motor vehicle.
During the execution of a search warrant at a house in Garran, the 27-year-old man arrived at the residence and engaged with police at about 6pm yesterday (September 2). When officers asked the man to identify himself, he produced his bail undertaking (which was signed that morning) highlighting previous offences of driving while disqualified and conditions including, to not drive a motor vehicle.
Police say the man also allegedly admitted to consuming methamphetamine before being arrested at the scene. Police conducted a drug screen which produced a positive result.
He has been charged with disqualified driving, breach of bail conditions and driving with a drug in oral fluid.
