A MALE skier from the ACT, aged 23, has been missing in Kosciuszko National Park since Saturday (September 3).
Emergency services began the search for him yesterday, with the NSW Police, NSW State Emergency Service and officers from NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service resuming the search at 7am today.
The man was last heard from when he contacted his family at 10am on Saturday. His car was located at Guthega car park.
His family raised concerns to police when the man failed to make contact again yesterday afternoon.
He is believed to be an experienced cross-country skier, and is believed to be carrying a personal locator beacon, limited day supplies and adequate equipment for back-country skiing conditions.
Aerial support is expected today and the man’s family are at the scene to assist in the search.
