SEVERE thunderstorms could produce damaging winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the next several hours over the ACT region, says the Bureau of Meteorology.
The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has responded to more than 81 requests for assistance since 2pm on Tuesday, with 50 requests still being worked through.
There have been more than 147 requests for assistance in the ACT since November 20, when the current round of “unsettled weather” began.
There is a current flood warning for the Queanbeyan River at Queens Bridge, and the water level for the Molonglo River at Oaks Estate are being monitored.
For help during storms and floods call ACTSES on 132500.
