Batik Air… direct flights from Canberra to Denpasar.

Canberrans will be able to fly direct to Bali from June 14.

Indonesian-based carrier, Batik Air, a full-service airline of the Lion Air Group, will operate flights three times a week to Denpasar.

Group strategy director of Chandran Rama Muthy said Canberra was the sixth destination connecting to Bali, providing travellers with easy access to one of southeast Asia’s highly desired  destinations.

“Our objective is not only to attract travellers from Canberra to Bali, but also to unveil exciting opportunities for exploration in Indonesia’s diverse secondary destinations served by Lion Air,” he said.

“We are dedicated to enhancing connectivity and making travel more accessible for passengers from Australia and Indonesia, and this new route reaffirms our dedication to that objective.”

Secondary destinations in Indonesia served by Lion Air include Labuan Bajo, Lombok, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Jakarta, Makassar and Manado. Batik Air is a full-service airline of the Lion Air Group.
