Man accused of stalking his ex-partner

A 45-year-old man is facing court after allegedly stalking his former partner and repeatedly breaching a family violence order.

Police allege he contravened the court order, which prohibited him from contacting his ex-partner, by sending her multiple emails between December and January.

The incidents were reported to police and, on Wednesday, he was arrested in a carpark in Gungahlin.

He has been charged with nine counts of contravening a family violence order, aggravated stalking, attempting to escape from arrest, resisting a territory public official, and possessing an offensive weapon.
