Police are seeking a driver who stopped after hitting a pedestrian in Ngunnawal in July but left before officers arrived.
The pedestrian was struck while crossing Marungal Avenue about 1pm on July 26.
Police say the driver stopped and remained at the scene until paramedics arrived, spoke with them about the collision and then left before police arrived.
Investigators believe the driver may have left because of a misunderstanding and want to speak with them as part of their inquiries.
Anyone with information, including the driver involved, is urged to contact police on 1800 333 000 or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
