Man charged over the alleged murder of Karlie Pearce-Stevenson

A MAN has been charged with the alleged murder of Karlie Pearce-Stevenson and will face court in New South Wales today.

NSW Police State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad established Strike Force Malaya and South Australia Police’s Major Crime established Task Force Mallee to investigate the murders of Karlie Pearce-Stevenson and her daughter, Khandalyce Pearce.

Following extensive investigations, detectives arrested a 41-year-old man at Cessnock Police Station about 4.15pm yesterday, Wednesday 28 October 2015.

He was later charged with murder and has been bail refused to appear at Maitland Local Court today, Thursday 29 October 2015.

Inquiries into the murder of Khandalyce are continuing.
