This follows Krstevska’s recent success in winning a similar Victorian award, sponsored by Melbourne’s Fine Music radio station 3MBS-FM. She receives a $10 000 cash prize sponsored by Freemasons Victoria and the Australian Fine Music Network stations.

This is the first time that ArtSound FM has hosted the national competition final, in association with the ANU School of Music and the Friends of the ANU School of Music and recording of the finals will shortly be broadcast on ArtSound FM and other stations of the Fine Music Network.

Krstevska has just completed her Honours in Clarinet Music Performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. She has been accepted into the Australian National Academy of Music, where she will commence study in February 2016.

She competed for the award against four of Australia’s finest young performers and musicians including Bernice Chua (piano) from the ACT, Alex Raineri (piano) from Queensland, Jordan Paterson (piano) from South Australia and Vincent Lo (cello) from NSW.

The Australian Fine Music Network is a collaboration between ArtSound FM (Canberra), Fine Music FM (Sydney), 3MBS FM (Melbourne), 4MBS FM (Brisbane) and 5MBS FM (Adelaide).
