A PERSON has been stabbed after chasing a man who robbed the Calwell Club on Sunday (December 18).
The offender entered the Calwell Club on Were Street at about 2.30pm with a weapon and demanded two females at the front desk and a security guard to get down on the floor.
The first female was forced to the ground and the male offender attempted to take the second female hostage. Security then approached the offender at which time he ran from the venue.
Security and a patron at the club chased after the offender. The patron caught the offender in nearby parkland and during a scuffle received a number of knife wounds, which resulted in serious injuries.
The male offender is described as 180cm tall and of medium build. He was wearing a balaclava, dark coloured hoodie and light blue jeans.
Investigations are ongoing and police are urging anyone who may have information to come forward.
