A TEENAGE girl is in Canberra Hospital, the victim of a hit-and-run in Florey last night.
Police say the 13-year-old was walking along Kreft Street at about 6pm when she was knocked to the ground by a silver Toyota Corolla. Her injuries are described as serious.
The driver fled without stopping. The vehicle was located a short time later but police are still trying to find the driver.
Police are calling for the driver to come forward. They are also asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who may be able to identify the driver to call 1800 333000. Information can be provided anonymously.
