CANBERRA has recorded its longest and strongest pollen season on record.
According to the ANU’s Canberra Pollen Forecaster the ACT recorded 16 days of extreme grass pollen levels in September-November, compared to only seven last year.
According to the Pollen Forecaster, higher than average rainfall in Canberra has contributed to the extreme levels.
Unfortunately for hayfever sufferer’s, the forecaster indicates that the pollen season – which usually runs from September to December – is expected to stretch into the new year.
