AN 82-year-old man riding a quad bike has been airlifted to Canberra Hospital following a collision with a truck in Larbert yesterday (September 7).

The impact of the crash threw the rider off his bike and onto the roadway – 15 kilometres north of Braidwood – where the 55-year-old male truck driver stopped and rendered assistance while contacting emergency services.

The older man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance officers for head and upper body injuries before being airlifted to Canberra Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The truck driver was taken to Braidwood Hospital for mandatory testing.

Any witnesses or dash cam footage to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
