Cyclist in hospital after collision in Lyneham

A MALE bicycle rider was transported to Canberra Hospital yesterday morning (September 14), after a collision involving two cars in Lyneham.

The collision occurred on Northbourne Avenue about 8.05am, near the intersection with Murdoch Street, and involved a white Ford Escape station wagon, a red BMW 318i sedan, and the bicycle.

The 56-year-old bicycle rider was transported to hospital with significant injuries, and police say they are investigating the circumstances of the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or captured dash-cam footage is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000.
