New eating disorder hub opens

A $2.2 million ACT government-funded clinical hub for eating disorders has opened in Canberra.

ACT minister for mental health, Emma Davidson, said the hub has been designed to connect eating disorders sufferers with services and support.

“Canberra has a wide range of services dedicated to supporting people’s needs, but it can be challenging to navigate,” Ms Davidson said.

“The ACT Eating Disorders Clinical Hub is a central intake point so people can be referred to services that best support their needs.”

Canberra’s long-awaited $13.5 million residential eating disorder centre, promised in 2019, is yet to be established.
