THE ACT covid death toll has risen to 123 with ACT Health reporting the deaths of two elderly Canberrans today (August 27).
The two new deaths – a man in his 80s and a woman in her 90s – takes the week’s toll to six people.
There are 106 people in hospital with covid, the lowest figure for some weeks. However, there are four patients in intensive care, none of whom require ventilation.
At 1438, active case numbers today continue to hover around the lowest numbers for the year.
There were 212 reported new cases today (112 PCR and 100 RAT), second only to the week’s low of 186 on Sunday.
The total number of cases in the ACT since the pandemic began in March, 2020, stands at 201,789.
