Woman robbed by knife-wielding teens

A WOMAN was ambushed by a pair of knife-wielding teenagers at a shopping centre carpark in Belconnen overnight.

Police say the woman was approached by two teenage girls aged 13 and 14-years-old who demanded that she hand over her keys.

When the woman refused, police say the girls assaulted the her and stole her handbag.

The teenagers – who were on good behaviour bonds at the time of the incident – then took off but were later arrested by police after a brief foot chase.

Police later found a large kitchen knife in the woman’s handbag that they say had been used in the robbery.

One Response to Woman robbed by knife-wielding teens

Knife wielding 13 and 14 yo criminals … and the “social liberals” want to raise the age of criminal responsibility to 14. Had that already have been enacted, the 13yo would have got off with a slap on the wrist with a very expensive lettuce leaf. These two were on good behaviour bonds and clearly knew what they were doing. Perhaps Rattenbury would like to explain to the woman who was assaulted (and is probably still traumatised) by this pair why she should just accept that one of her assailants was not actually responsible for what she did – she didn’t know it was wrong! The sooner muppets like Rattenbury are shown the political door the better.
