Police issued 30 infringement notices, as well as conducting more than 100 alcohol screenings and two roadside drug tests in a targeted operation in school zones in Tuggeranong and Gungahlin on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Fines for exceeding the posted 40km/h speed limit in a school zone are greater than non-school zones. The 40km/h school zone-limit operates between 8am and 4pm during school days.
